Adobe has a deal running on the “Photoshop Photography Program”.

This is a subscription to Photoshop (CC, the latest version) and Lightroom 5 plus 20G of cloud storage for US$9.95 per month (but you pay for a year so that’s about US$120 per year).

Cool deal as you do not have to have a copy of an earlier release of Photoshop. So at about $120 per year for both Photoshop and Lightroom it’s a great deal if you don’t have either of them.

Lightroom / Photoshop Workflow #2

Come spend a casual, relaxing evening with Toni and learn how she goes through her workflow using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

This session will concentrate more on a specific image and how to easily clean up and and add pizzazz in Photoshop.

Enter the Life’s a Beach Photo Contest for a Chance to Win!

Dear club members,

The dog days of summer are not yet over and in honour of the summer sun, surf and sand, we’re holding the Life’s a Beach Photo Contest to celebrate our Blue Flag eco-certification program for beaches and marinas here in Canada.

All club members are invited to grab their camera gear and head to their favourite Canadian beach to capture a few great images for a chance to win up to $500 worth of new camera equipment.

While the sight of gorgeous beach sunsets make us all daydream of our next beach vacation, we want to see how you spend your day at your favourite Canadian beach. Capture that perfect action shot of you, your friends and family swimming, building sandcastles, playing frisbee, and more!

Entering the contest is easy! Simply capture your best shot, geo-tag your photo and upload to our Flickr pool flickr.com/groups/beachphotocontest/OR tag your photo #lifesabeachcontest and upload to Instagram. That’s it!

Ooh wow - its August already and before you know it, September 5 will be upon us.  We all know what that means ....

• your membership fees will be due

A few new changes this year.  Every new and renewing member will receive 2 guess passes to hand out to friends and family. The pass will allow your guest to attend one speaker session free of charge. So the sooner you renew, the sooner you can invite your friends.

On behalf of the Warkworth Lilac Festival Photographic Committee we would like to invite your members to consider entering the 2013 photographic contest.

 

    This is an "Open Category" contest, for photographs that are taken during the spring.

    

    Photographs from "anywhere" that where taken in the spring over the last 2 years will be accepted as entries.

 

    The photographers do not have to come to the Warkworth area to take photographs.
