Richard Martin’s “Vision and Discovery”
Exploring the medium of photography as a means of visual expression, this seminar examines a personal and poetic approach to recording the visual world and will examine the key elements to making good photographs-visual awareness and design.
Presented by Canadian photographer Richard Martin, this captivating program includes instructional sessions interspersed with inspiring audio-visual presentations. With an emphasis on simplifying the photographic process, there will be discussions on the process of seeing and making photographs, the practical use of visual design, producing clear visual statements, and the use of techniques to evoke emotions in an image. An absolute 'must see' for anyone interested in the visual arts.
Exploring the relationship between music and the interaction of form and colour; The curvilinear forms of architect Frank Gehry's uncommonly inventive, eccentric architecture, from Los Angeles, Cleveland and Seattle; The Elemental Spirits of cemetery sculpture from Venice, Italy, Havana, Cuba and Savanna, Georgia and recent work from Sicily, Tuscany and Umbria.
